Boy on Beach Painting

My agent called with the need for more beach scenes to show a client.  So, I sat down yesterday at the drawing board and quickly  rendered this little boy making a sand castle,  inspired by a Labor day weekend visit to  nearby Kennebunk's Parson's Beach...ton's of kiddos to watch and sketch on the beaches this last weekend!

A fitting tribute to the end of a beautiful summer season in Maine...took me right back to childhood memories of Washington State's Puget Sound.....building sandcastles all day and then reluctantly giving up each fragile castle as crashing waves hungrily rushed at sunset to devour them.
